I ordered this for my son who has wanted one forever. I was worried that it may end up being junk because the price was so low (5 - 6 hundred is average cost) but ordered it anyway. It is BEAUTIFUL and he was not disappointed at all. I was worried that it would be really small but it fit him nicely (he is slim and tall - 6'4") and hangs to just above his knees and the arm length fit perfectly. I could not be happier with this purchase - I just don't know how they can sell so cheap! I ordered a "used" one but it looks brand new.

I was concerned that, given the price, it would be cheap. I was happily surprised! The rings are machined, but it looks terrific. You can expect to pay three times the price for a similar piece on other sites. Probably too small for someone over a size "large", unless slim of build. The rings are steel, so it's heavy! I recommend it highly.

Alright, first, some of the other purchasers seem puzzled by the nature of chainmail itself. Chainmail *conforms* to your body type. Hence, if you're a tall, skinny guy -- the chainmail is going to seem long lean.br /br /Me, I'm a chubby, out-of-shape guy who tends towards 2x and 3x shirts. This chainmail fits me fine. My only problem is that I have the most ginormous skull you'll ever see -- and had a bit of difficulty fitting it through the neck opening of the chainmail. Actually solved the problem by using wire cutters to remove a few links and loosen the collar. However, this is not a flaw with the product. This is a flaw with my truly gargantuan head.br /br /I'm very pleased with this armor. Yes, the links are not perfectly joined. At this price, one wouldn't expect them to be. However, for costume purposes, it's absolutely perfect. And it's the cheapest I've seen *anywhere*. Particularly given that you receive a coife as well as the hauberk.br /br /Again, I'm completely pleased. It arrived fast, and it's just a shame they seem to be out of stock. Must be a close out item.

I couldnt be more pleased. The order came much sooner than expected and everything was as described. I expect this to be a great costume for years to come. It fit me fine (5'10" 220lbs) as well as a friend who was here when the order came (5'8" 245lbs)

I am very pleased with this item. Even though they list it as decorative item, it will protect your body from cuts and to a lesser extent from stabs. This item is limited though to only that. But even so, this item is VERY GOOD for the price. br /br /And just a fair warning! Some chain mail in history as well as some modern chain mail has been known to rust if it wasn't well maintained. I do not know yet if this one will rust or not though.
