Product Description PhotoShieldTM Cover A clear patent pending license plate cover, incorporating a thin strip of lens on the inside. It looks just like a regular cover that you find in an automotive accessory shop. However, when a photo-radar camera mounted on the side of the road takes a picture of your tag WITH OR WITHOUT flash, 2 or 3 characters will be blurred due to the refraction caused by the lens. The resulting image is illegible. If one character is unreadable the ticket is technically unusable and discarded. Our design is effective, inconspicuous and defeats all cameras! IMPROVED lens design works to absorb and diffuse incoming laser beams from laser guns, helping to prevent an accurate reading. NO READING = NO TICKET! Over 200,000 SOLD WORLDWIDE!

Helps but NOT to break the law January 12, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have two of these covers on my vehicles. They do make it hard to see your tag from any direction except when you are standing directly behind the vehicle. I do NOT run the tolls but if my transponder for some reason does not go off why should I make it easier for the DOT to debit my account for the toll? I pay too much anyway in relationship to the others here in FLA on the turnpike (those in West Palm Beach pay $.50 less and that is where the rich people live) but here in Miami-Dade county the tolls are way too much and if it for some reason makes it harder for the people to get their $.75 from my account, oh well.
revenue raising July 12, 2005 13 out of 18 found this review helpful
Out here down under, our local authorities have gone greedy. They are putting cameras everywhere in the name of safety, but to be booked for doing 63 in a 60 zone is just revenue raising. So I got tired of it and started to fight back. I got me a few of the Photoshield covers and that spray formula. You said it; I haven't got a ticket since. They can kiss my rear end for all they want but they won't know who I am when they look at the film at the end of the day. Thanks phantomplate.
Excellent product March 25, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We have phantom plates on both our cars. No way, no how would we EVER run a red light or not pay a toll. We got these because they put in a red light camera near our house and when you turn right (legally) on red, the camera goes off. We're not waiting to get a ticket in the mail.br /br /The Photoshield cover is lightweight and easy to install. It operates exactly as advertised - when you look at your plate from directly in back of your car you can see all the digits, but viewed at any type of angle, two of the digits are blurred. Another bonus is that it covers the renewal sticker on your plate so no one can scrape it off and steal it. The company has excellent customer service (my photoshield arrived scratched and they shipped me another one free). br /br /We park outside on city streets where police give tickets for the slightest infraction and have not received a ticket for having these plates.
THANK YOU! August 4, 2005 9 out of 13 found this review helpful
I have had the photoshiled for over a year now and its wonderful not receiving any one of those awful tickets. i am not an aggressive driver or anything, but I always seem to be caught in the yellow light. So not only do I get massive tickets it is starting to affect my confidence in lights now, making me a nervous and very slow driver. This product has been both financially and psychologically good. It is simple it works and there is nothing more to say except THANK YOU!
Not Worth the Money October 14, 2008 If you park in the sun, the shield which restricts the view of your license plate will act like a magnifying glass. Mine melted in one summer. It did seem to do its job though.
